My personal preference is towards diesel engines and it is not hard to justify. The type of RV is the most significant factor in a cost of ownership. It is clear that to live in luxury it is less costly to have a Medium Duty Truck towing a highline fifth wheel. It is also clear that if you want to drive a Class A, it is cost justified to have a basic diesel pusher and by the way, this will be significantly safer and more comfortable to drive.
