The house was really cute and comfortable though a bit far from things like shopping and beaches. We knew this going in and rented a car which was a great decision. Side note not related to house rental: When renting a car be sure to mark damage on all corners as they will try to get $$ from you for every little scratch! There are no screens on the windows so when the wind is not blowing the windows have to be kept closed at night to keep the bugs out (we wanted to enjoy the quiet without the A/C). The main room A/C was not working until we contacted the rental company to repair it. They came out the same day and we just happened to stop off at the house while they were there. We walked in on two repair guys — one sleeping in the hammock and one on our bed. They high-tailed it out of there saying they were just making sure the A/c would keep running. The promised Aruba Aloe products were not in the bathroom and when I inquired I received a couple of packets of cheap soap and shampoo. A lot of the furniture shown in the photos has changed so be prepared to get not exactly what you see.I also asked for a corkscrew, missing from the kitchen, which I was promised but never received. Also never saw the discount cards shown on the listing.Overall this was a great place to stay be be aware that not everything in the ad is as stated. I guess that was my main problem with the property.

We had a wonderful first time stay in Aruba for our honeymoon. If only we could have stayed longer! The North Shore Cottage is just about as perfect as it looks in the pictures. I would definitely recommend this as a rental for couples, maybe with one small child, due to the bathroom situation (you have to go through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom). We didn’t use the loft at all but it was an awfully cute area. The washer and dryer worked great for us which was perfect. We also made good use of the cooler for taking our drinks to the beach with us. Make sure to check out the shed, there are lots of things in there that you may be able to make use of. We did not snorkel, surf, or boogieboard, but that stuff was available. DEFINITELY rent a car if you will be staying here. We rented a 4×4 Jeep Wrangler and it was perfect for exploring the dirt trails behind the cottage. There are only a few things to note, nothing major though. The bathroom does not have a curtain for the window, the shower does not have any shelves for soap, shampoo, etc (also, make sure to bring your own soap and shampoo), and the top part of every window is made up of wooden slats with no screen so that bugs easily get into the house. We didn’t encounter any large bugs, just small moths and ants (or at least what looked like ants). If you are petrified of tiny lizards, you may not want to stay here. They are always running around outside and are very fun to watch. We even had a couple of them inside the cottage at one point. Don’t worry, they are adorable and seem to be pretty scared of humans. Overall this was a great trip for us and we were very very sad to leave. Thank you so much Rentstar Aruba Team!
