Stomach issues – page 6 – yellow bullet forums gasset y ortega biografia

I had had plenty of bowel blockages, I know all too well what they feel like. It is our version of giving birth! Fricking intestines contracting every 1.5 minutes. Only thing that helped me was Dilaudid. Yeah, a pain med that is contraindicated for that sort of issue, but my charts will show otherwise. I wish him the best!

Vancomycin is dirt cheap in the IV form, have done that several times at home with a PIC line. But Avycaz, man that is some expensive stuff! When I did chemo, the pill version was very expensive, while the IV version was dirt cheap. But between the cost of inserting and removing the port necessary for the IV version, it was a wash. They let me do the pills at home.

Shoot so you know exactly what I was going through. Did you have crazy symptoms when yours started.? I thought I had gas and then it went from dihrea to constipation over and over again(I cant spell sorry). I actually told the nurses that if this felt like having a baby, then I cant blame them for being on BC.Are you doing better now?

Would start off feeling uncomfortable. Then the pain would slowly start, like a common stomach ache, but wasn’t in the stomach. Then come the contractions. The body trying to force the food through. After awhile, if the food doesn’t start moving, then the body decides it’s time to start barfing (my technical term!)

That is when we would head to the hospital. One time we hit enough bad bumps with my truck (our roads are f-ing shot here, they take our money but won’t use it to fix the roads) that by the time they had me hooked to an IV the blockage passed!

We think all those blockages were being caused by a really bad incisional hernia I had prior to this January. My surgeon was able to stick four fingers into me because of the hernia. It was one of several things they fixed on my this year. All seems fine now!

Ok I have a issue that I hope hasnt done anything. I have been doing somewhat better here lately but,how long does this take to get over with? I want to go outside to do a few things but, then within minutes I am wore slam out. I went to the grocery store this morning and got some water and milk and bread. I put the water in the basket and went too grab the milk and when I did, something felt like it bumped inside of me. I immediatly passed gas(ok I farted) instantly and it was like a small sharp pain but, ended quickly. I am in the recliner as we speak but, dang this is really wearing me down.Im not hurting, I just hope nothing went wrong.

Hey Kenny, ya gotta remember they moved all your guts around when they worked on you and these things will bother you for awhile. As long as there’s no severe pain and especially NO FEVER, you are likely just fine. The important thing is get up and get moving, even if you wear out fast. Just keep moving and don’t get stiffened up. Your energy will come back quicker if you try to keep moving as much as you possibly can.
