Many thanks to Marti and Larry for sharing this lovely condo with my family. We arrived at 1:00 on Thanksgiving day and had turkey with trimmings on the table by 5 PM. The well stocked kitchen provided all the utensils and serving dishes we needed, and a friendly note on the cabinet door invited me to help myself to the spices inside (a lifesaver since I forgot the seasonings for our bird). We all enjoyed the huge living area, playing games and doing the annual Thanksgiving jigsaw puzzle on the high top table by the window with a Mountain View.

Some of the things we appreciated about the condo were the new carpet, the cleanliness of the unit, the wonderful grill, and the location on the end of the unit near walking paths and open space. We were also grateful that this unit was pet friendly. There is a doggie waste station just steps down the path and plenty of trails. The master bath is quite spacious with double sinks and a large shower. The only downside is that the other bath and half bath are small, but this was a minor issue for us as a family. There is a pool nearby for community use and Marti graciously left us passes to use for yoga and the fitness center across the street at the lodge.

For all you skiers and snowboarders there are multiple ski resorts that are easily accessible by car and can be done in a day. Keystone-2 minutes, Arapahoe Basin-7 minutes, Loveland-15 minutes, Breckenridge-20 minutes, Copper-15 minutes, Vail-30 minutes, and Beaver Creek 45 minutes. However, please be mindful of snow and driving conditions. If staying close to home works better for you then take advantage of the ski bus and let others do the driving. From Tennis Townhomes I, the bus runs approximately every 20 minutes. An easy 3-5 minute bus ride drops you and your party at the Mountain House Base. A high-speed chair ride gets you to the top of the mountain where you can plan your ski/ride day. The bus is great for non skiers/riders as well. Have them meet you for lunch and or happy hour and share your day with them! Give them a taste of the awesome ski/ride life. Not a skier/rider? Opening 12/5/14 there is a Nordic Center located at Keystone Ranch. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing rentals, lessons, and guided tours are available. Nine miles of groomed trails and access to more than 35 miles of trails within the White River National Forest are available to you. Golfers? There are multiple courses to enjoy – 2 in Keystone; The River Course and the Ranch Course. The Raven is about 20 minutes away in Silverthorne. Breckenridge, Copper, Beaver Creek, and Vail also have stunning golf courses. Attending a conference at the Keystone Conference Center? It is VERY close and an easy walk – very similar to the walk from the parking lot to the Conference Center. Regardless of the season there is plenty to keep one busy – hiking, walking, swimming, bike riding, skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, shopping, sailing, or maybe a spa day is what you are after. All these activities and more are steps away for you to enjoy. If you’d like to cook our kitchen is well equipped. However, if you’d rather be waited on there are plenty of fine and casual dining experiences to tempt your taste buds. To name a few: Pug Ryans (Dillon), Dam Brewery (Dillon), Arapahoe Café in our opinion has the best breakfast & BBQ – also in Dillon. In the summer you can’t beat the scenery, vibe, and food at the Tiki Bar (Dillon Marina). Bighorn Bar and Bistro at Keystone Resort has always been excellent, Pizza 101 has the best pizza (Keystone), Hearthstone is quaint and unique (Breckenridge), and for special occasions or dining on the mountain – Keystone Ranch is a must, Alpenglow Stube is an adventure to get to! Frisco and Copper also have multiple dining options. Don’t like to drive in the mountains or in snow? Take a shuttle (Colorado Mountain Express) from DIA and enjoy the bus to/from the slopes and dining establishments around Keystone. Or rent a car/SUV and stop at the well stocked City Market in Dillon for groceries. Dillon Ridge Liquors, Walgreens, Starbucks, Sports Authority, Bed, Bath, & Beyond are in the same plaza as well as a movie theater. If you forgot something there is a newly remodeled and enlarged market/liquor store at the corner of Route 6 and Tennis Club Road. An easy walk (downhill) from the townhome. And good exercise (uphill) to get back to the townhome! Want a quite night at home to recharge for the next day of fun filled activities? There are games and movies (DVD’s) located in the bookcase. Enjoy your stay!
