Add, place, remove, reroute, set up, rack, splice, transfer, repair, rearrange, bond, pressurize, and test aerial, underground, and buried cable. * Installing, repairing, inspecting and maintaining inside cables, wires and plug-in equipment to connect telecommunication systems and equipment, including dark fiber and fiber and/or equipment including but not limited to routers, video set-top boxes and PC related hardware.

* Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation, including, but not limited to, perceiving differences in wire cable colors, moving and/or lifting items such as ladders, tools, air tanks, cable reels, test equipment and other objects weighing up to 100 pounds, working aloft; climbing ladders and poles, and entering tunnels, buildings, trenches, crawl spaces, manholes, and other confined spaces to accomplish job tasks.

* Where a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required, the applicant will receive related, Company-provided Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) training. Upon completion of D.O.T. training, the applicant must qualify on D.O.T.’s Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) written and skills qualifications tests to retain the job.

Training generally includes: five to six weeks of initial classroom training and may include Pole Climbing, Basic Construction, Basic Splicing, Department of Transportation training, and other training as required and on-the-job training. Job specific training must be successfully completed prior to engaging in FiOS work assignment; training duration is three weeks in length with an additional week of FTTP-platform fiber optic splicing.

Construction Foreman typically runs a crew of 8-12 individuals including but not limited to; laborer, equipment operator, craftsman, pipefitter, and welders. Additionally, the Foremen is responsible for the quality of work, performance of the project, and coordination with others.

The Foreman enforces all construction standards provided by Cenergy and or our client foremans and are responsible for the daily work of the crew that is assigned. The Construction Foreman will report directly to the Construction Superintendent.

It is preferred that the successful candidate has 1-3 years of prior natural gas experience. Operator qualifications for natural gas is a plus, however, the candidate can attain this through the company. The successful candidate operates in a proactive approach versus a reactive approach. The candidate is also self-motivated.
