Booked a tour with Vicki over the phone a few weeks before my June Tahoe trip. We (parents, girlfriend) were picked up at a casino near our hotel in South Lake Tahoe by Vicki’s husband around 10am. He immediately impressed us by taking the scenic route to our first location, stopping for photo op’s along the way. Gave us a great run down of what to look for, expect, buy, taste, etc while giving great factual information on food pairings and wines to bring for parties. He had ideal gas kinetic energy an extremely interesting background (lawyer and representative for Chinese real estate agents looking to buy/sell wineries) and really knew his stuff. Visited 5 intimate wineries where we were able to speak candidly to each owner and take a brief tour of the facilities. Highly recommend this tour to amateurs and experienced drinkers alike. Even stopped for an amazingly delicious lunch attached to a gas station (don’t judge a book by its cover) which included sausage stuffed mushrooms, pulled pork and beef brisket sliders, and the option to taste more wine! Very easy to buy bottles as our guide would haul them to his truck and prepared a case to ship back for our family when all was said and done. Very personable, informative, and fun experience.
