I have many memories of being a child walking around Towneley Hall admiring the authenticity… today on my visit my memories were crushed. Each room has been sadly gas x tablets himalaya ‘updated’ or even completely changed into random collections of paintings/pottery from 1900’s to 2000’s. Not very 16th Century. Surely the point of preserving the hall was for tourists to see how the family lived during this time?

I found the electric fireplaces quite disheartening, they stood out like a sore thumb. Obviously heaters have been added to keep the hall warm but come on, electric fire places? I didn’t realise electricity was invented in the 16th Century! Why must technology take over the charm of this once loved and once well looked after building? Now, there is a window boarded up yet they can put CD players around and 4 gases in the atmosphere replace authentic furniture with brand new copies. Such a shame for this generation that will never enjoy Towneley Hall like I did as a child.

Not what I was expecting at all. Even the infamous bear now sits with a random wooden mouse on his shoulder gas mileage comparison and a random egg at his feet. No explanation for this, just ruined. Sorry you did not enjoy your visit, but we have had to move la gasolina lyrics translation with the times, The period rooms are still set out as they were when the Towneley family lived at Towneley, and our exhibition program is attracting lots of new visitors to the hall, We had 65.000 visitors last year and the majority enjoyed what we as a small team have done, The mini exhibition in the housekeepers room featuring some coronation st cast members is there for 3 months as a tribute to the artist whos education was paid for by the electricity deregulation choices and challenges Stocks massey trust, So a local artist making the grade so to speak and I can assure you that there are no windows boarded up!, Some windows do have security shutters in place ,so maybe that is what you saw, The heaters in the great hall do look out of place but are there to help with the poor heating in the great hall, not ideal,but the best we could afford for now, and the majority of our visitors who pay the £4 to come in welcome the fact that the ticket is valid for 12 months, so pretty good value for electricity meaning money we think, Please feel free to re visit and ask to speak to me and i would be delighted to explain why we do what we do, REgards.

Big place for walking around the park or in the nature woods lots of dog walkers go around here in the fields Also there is a golf course as well it is better if you drive by car or you can catch a mini bus ( Not sure how much this costs gas kinetic energy formula ) Parking for cars plenty but its a pay and display and remember to purchase a ticket or you will get one ( Fine) they are quick as well I have seen a few been fined on here. But don’t let that Put you off There is also two garden centres one at the bottom of the park this is my favourite one as its a massive place for everything garden and ponds as well they have a lovely cafe seems to be always full the wireless electricity how it works prices are reasonable at winter its a xmas wonderland with logs and fire going with xmas delight from tree’s to wrapping to extreme xmas stuff you can really purchase extreme things very nice also the lights are amazing I am sure now Garden centres are having the competitions for the best biggest display the top one is all about plants and flowers bedding plants and more and more pots pots pots all sizes small to extreme
