Kevin and Mike were our guides and they took great care of use. Picked us up right outside of our hotel and kept us entertained on our journey up the mountain. The sunrise was amazing, though a bit electricity song 2015 cold. My husband and I wore shorts and were a little cold, 40 degrees at the coldest. Bike it Maui provided jackets, but we should have worn pants. After the sunrise we left the National Park and hopped on bikes. They provided helmets and the bikes seemed sound, good brakes. They even had a helmet with a GoPro mount that allowed my husband to use his GoPro on the trip down. The ride down was thrilling. We did have some members of our group that thought it was a bit too thrilling, but our guides picked up on it quickly and were really nice about it, invited them to ride down a gas station near me in the van instead. It warmed up considerably as we continued down the mountain. We did get to stop for some great pictures on the way. At the bottom we loaded the van again and were gas dryer vs electric dryer hookups taken to a wonderful breakfast at a country club (cost of the meal was… Wonderful Experience! Highly recommend. My husband and I did the Haleakala Sunrise and bike down the mountain while on our Honeymoon and it was amazing. My husband recommended the adventure after having done it with the same bike company in 2008. Kevin and Mike were our guides and they took great care of use. If you are was electricity invented during the industrial revolution coming from the east I would highly recommend doing this adventure on your first day. You have to get up very early local time to get on the bus and get to the top of Haleakala before sunrise. We traveled from WI and because of the time change it didn’t feel like we were getting up terribly early. More Show less

I would like to start this review with a few tips. First, Do it! Yes, the early wake up time and the cold temperatures at the summit are daunting but WOW, it is an amazing experience (even if it is raining and you don’t actually see the sunrise because of the fog). Ok, so you’re going to do it. Here are a few things to consider. First, we are from the East Coast. We did it the day after we arrived; it worked out great! Think about it, you’re still on that East Coast time electricity vs gas heating costs zone so when you are getting up at 1:30 AM, your body still thinks it is 6:30AM (works for any time zone east of HI). Also, we were told Mondays are crazy as that is when the cruise ships dock and all the passengers do this tour (so avoid Mondays unless you gas in michigan are planning a cruise). Bring along closed toe shoes, warm socks, sweatshirt, long pants. Bike It Maui will provide you with a fleece coat, a windbreaker/rain jacket for over top, rain pants, gloves and hats. Once you begin on the bikes, the hats will be replaced with a helmet. Bottom line, is is quite chilly up there. We were there in July on a misty/rainy morning with temps hovering around 40′. So now for the review of Bike IT Maui. Scotty picked us up at our hotel in Kaanapali z gas tecate telefono at 2:00AM. After picking up a few other guests along the way, he began to tell us the legend about Mt. Haleakala. His stories entertained us on the journey. We stopped at a convenience store one point for snacks/rest room break. Our bike guide joined us there. Ron is a native Hawaiian and continued to engross us with stories and lore. The ride was comfortable and pleasant. When we got to the top, we were on of the first tour groups there so we were able to get a position on the rail to wait for the sunrise (other tours will pick you later but then you might have someone in front of you as you electricity and magnetism review game’re trying to watch the sunrise). They told us about 10% of the time, the weather is not good (think rain, heavy mist, fog) for watching the sunrise. We were in that 10%. Was our trip ruined? Absolutely not! after the sunrise we loaded back in the van to travel down the mountain a bit (Haleakala electricity transmission vs distribution National Park does no allow biking to start within their boarders). We unloaded beneath the fog canopy and had the most amazing bike ride down. The guys make sure everyone is comfortable with their gas number bike and has been prepped on safety. Scotty, our driver stayed at the back of the pack in his van so cars could not try to get around us. Occasionally we would stop for a breathtaking view/pics and the string of cars could get by. When we arrived at the bottom, they loaded us in the van for our journey to breakfast at Cafe O’Lei at the Dunes. What a spread! We were able to choses from French toast, egg platter, fruit platter and more! No continental breakfast here. We are stuffed! And this was included in the price, even the tip. It was the owners way of saying Aloha. Lastly, We initially booked our trip directly by calling speaking to Petra, one of the owners, She was very helpful during the process. She called us the day before to confirm gas monkey monster truck body our trip, pick up times and to answer any last minute questions. A huge Mahalo to Petra, Scotty, and Ron for making this a trip we will remember for a lifetime!
