We did 3d/2d with Quechua connections, and I highly recommend it. This is a great family run company and they work hard to provide you the best service. Augustin is the father, Jose is his son, the girl in the office is his daughter, and she is married to Diony who was our driver for the trip. I liked the fact that before making the reservations they electricity prices over time allowed to see the car, parked in front of the office, and meet the driver “ Diony” . This may not be possible all the time, but it gave us great satisfaction.

We had good food, safe trip, basic/clean accommodation, and wonderful trip. They helped us a find hotel in Uyuni and made sure that our crossing to Chile was on time and without any trouble. You need three things: a car that is mechanically sound, a driver who electricity voltage in norway is knowledgeable and safe, and good group of people to chat and share 3 days stuck in a limited space. Luckily, we had all three of those elements. We changed our seats every few hours to make sure that no one was stuck in the back seat for long and had great laughs and stories to share.

Given the prices are so low in Bolivia, please try not to low-ball the good companies and do tip the people who work hard to make sure that you are comfortable. After spending hours reading all the horror stories about salar tour companies we managed to find 4 that sounded ok. On the evening we arrived in Uyuni we met electricity vampires a couple who had just done a tour with Red Planet and were very disappointed so we were left with 3 possible companies. Out of the 3 companies we visited Quechua didn’t promise us lots of luxuries so we decided to trust them, plus the lady who sold us the tickets told us that her husband was the driver so we trusted her when she told us he wouldn’t drink and drive…etc. other companies promised to take us to the island but Qechua told us we would go part way there and if the weather was ok we would visit it. Our tour turned out so much better then we expected! Diony, our driver, was a lot of fun, kind and always made sure we had everything we needed. We had plenty of time for extra photo shoots, we stayed in the salar to watch the sunset and the food was great! We were told we wouldn’t get snacks but did and the basic accommodation was electricity transmission efficiency really nice. Diony was also a great guide, he knew a lot and always told us where we were heading next. After all the horrible stories I feel so lucky that we chose the wonderful family run business Quechua Connections Thank you Diony!

My girlfriend and I recently went on this tour a week ago for 3 days and 2 nights. We joined an English couple that we had met in Colombia. Obviously, as with most things while traveling, the experience has a lot to do with the people your with, but sometimes a tour company can make or break the experience. Quechua Connection definitely made our experience awesome. Our guide was Jose, one of the founders of the family run j gastroenterol company. We feel biased that Jose is the best, however based on other reviews, we are sure that other guides are indeed fabulous. Jose made us feel that he paid our group special attention; at each stop along the route, during meals, joined us in our card game, and truly provided something unique as he drove us out on the flats one night for star gazing. It was the best view of the night sky we had ever seen, and we’ve seen some nice middle of nowhere Texas night skies. If you are concerned about booking a trip, put your fear aside if you choose this company. They can accompany groups of any size and they go above and gas prices going up or down beyond to make the tour grea t, because each guide has more invested in the company’s well being than guides with other companies who are solely driving for their paycheck. Thanks for a great tour! – Mateo y Kristina!
