World of caramelaw hello, i make candy coloured art. gas bike alley

I’m really excited to announce that the official BlytheconSG imagery for 2017 is ready! I would say it’s 99% done though I might make more changes or add more elements to her but we’ll see. For now, I think I’m good. This is really an exciting collab because I get to work with the super talented Peithedragon. We see a cute baby face of a Blythe doll here interpreted and painted by Pei. I just can’t get over how adorable that face is! She had to paint the mascot bald so that I could add in flowers and greenery elements with a dash of candy in it later. There is a little pathway right above the BlytheCon text leading to a door shining with light, like a magical doorway to our beautiful garden city. You could see a bit of the Singapore skyline consisting of Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Art Science Museum and the Singapore Flyer beyond that door.

The theme is “City in a Garden”. Singapore, known as a garden city, was meant to provide comfortable, clean and green environment to Singaporeans and tourist. Our gardens were planned so that our city’s temperature could be kept as low as possible from the tropical heat as we are basically sitting on the equator. gas constant These gardens are now almost inter connected and creates an attractions not only for Singaporeans but also impresses the tourist. This is a joint achievement by the Singapore government and her people. We are therefore proud to announce that we have green spots in our little red dot.

Its been quite a strange few months. Having left my work place which I’ve grown so accustomed to has left a quite an emotional hole in me. I wouldn’t say that its sad but it definitely felt weird. I was a little lost for the first time in a long, long time. Working in the day has left me little time in the evenings to work on candy-art and dolls. I too, know that I’ve not been producing enough candy art which Caramelaw is known for. It felt like I’ve lost touch with the art/design scene a little.

I looked at my studio and felt…empty. It is so cluttered, filled with evidence of my hoarding nature. I have things everywhere and I barely have space to walk. gas bloating pregnancy Boxes of toys chucked in a corner collection fluffy layers of dust. Empty sketch pads. Dried up markers. It didn’t feel like an inspiring place at all. Was this where I made my colourful candy art? Seriously?

Which was why I decided that I need a change of my environment. And what better way to do this, than to give my room an over-haul. I put my paws down and got to work. It took about a week to get most of the stuff settled in and cleaned. electricity and magnetism worksheets Here I am, with a clean and fresh studio! It felt REALLY good. De-cluttering really lifted my spirits up. I felt comfortable and relaxed, I wanted to do work, I wanted to start making things! Its amazing how a change of environment could do you so much good.

Where all the craft, painting, toy and doll customizing magic happens. It does look a little over-whelming but its nice and comfy. I am totally surrounded by all the things I love. Everything I need for crafting is also within reach. I sit at my desk and watch Adventure Time or Adventures of Gumball on my ipad while sawing away on dolls or project.

On this tiny desk, you will see many decapitated doll heads and bodies lying around. This is what I see and how it feels to be seated in this tiny space. On the left I have tiny drawers filled with craft materials consisting of beads, ribbons, hair clips, felt cut outs, doll eye chips and decora items. There are more tiny drawers behind the dolls if you could spot it. I store flower hair clips, more ribbons and beads there.

I used to keep them in plastic boxes but I end up buying extra dresses because I forgot that I have the exact same dress. So I figured I needed something which I can allow me to view what I have at ease. I DIYed this myself from an old jewelry rack. Attached metal rings which I purchased from Spotlight and added paper clips with binder clips attached to its ends. electricity lesson plans year 6 The rack spins so it worked well for me. The OCD in me is happy.

This is where my 2nd iMac for video editing sits. I use Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Flash to work my shit. Its a different kind of work done at this desk so you don’t see craft items lying around. Just my iMac, dolls, toys and me. On the left of the table is where I stack the stock Blythe and Pullip dolls I have which I can use for customizing. It makes it easier to see what I have in my inventory. On the right, you’ll see my Instinct Toys collection. electricity 4th grade worksheet I try to keep my toys in acrylic boxes to keep them away from corrosive dust and moist air. But of course, I don’t have enough space for more acrylic boxes.

So here sums up how I manage to get everything into place and work within a small space. I hope this entry will inspire some of you out there who’s feeling a little lost yourselves, to start de-cluttering your life, your environment and yourself. I always believe in making changes, even if its a small one. The universe works in strange and mysterious ways. wikipedia electricity consumption Somehow, the energy just picks up and soon you’ll start to see improvements in your life. I started my first step by cleaning up my room. I felt better and happier. That’s an important step for anything good to happen. Staying and being positive.

All the rushing, planning, logistics, sleepless nights trying to churn out art and cute stuff to sell at STGCC 2014, seems all too familiar. Once again, Caramelaw was back at STGCC 2014 show casing my art dolls, custom toys and new merchandises. It was really fun returning back to STGCC after being under the radar for 4 years. Seeing artist friends and happy fans gather at the one event that makes all of us unite is simply delightful.

Set up was relatively easy, all the candy elements were up and busking in their rainbow glory in no time. The crowds gathered and marveled at the custom Caramelpops dolls and custom Kobito Dukan Rainbow Buddies customs. There were also new merchandises, including canvas prints, bag charms, key chains, new poster and postcard designs and a new paper puppet. Click for art also sent us some merchandise all the way from UK, including cushion covers, sweat shirts, pouches and eye mask. Lots to see and time to spend some money!

I’ve got wonderful help once again from Agent Cuddlesome, a.k.a the manager of Candy land and my loving candy man to mend the booth with me. There were many exhibtiors this year and I was particularly excited about Instinct Toys. Managed to grab a hold of the new Jack O Latern in Glitter pink and silver, all thanks to the loving boyfriend. What a sweet surprise. Swoon!

There were some familiar faces – Gold Zinyin here was at my booth 4 years ago and she was back again for more candy art. So sweet of her! Many friends and family dropped by to show their support. I also did some doodling at the doodle wall sponsored by Sharpie, rocking the black ink with the Band of Doodlers. Lots of fun interacting with people and curious minds who wanted to know more about me and my candy art. grade 6 electricity unit It was such a pleasure speaking to everyone who came to the convention. It was a blast having to experience all the buzz and cosplayers and I’ll certainly be back soon!
