I emailed them to confirm our pickup in La Fortuna. I clearly stated our hostel name and that we were in La Fortuna. Our emailed reservation said La Fortuna. Come the time for pick up, interbus was nowhere to be found. After waiting for 30 minutes I called the company using our hostels phone and they told us that our driver was in San Ramon and that is where we had booked our reservation for there. I emailed them the reservation they had gas bubble in eye sent me that stated La Fortuna. They denied that we ever booked there and then told us we would have to pay for a second shuttle for later in the afternoon. We refused to pay and even our hostel owner electricity distribution map spoke with the representative and we were finally able to be put on a shuttle 6 hours later. The driver was supposed to arrive at 245 didn’t arrive until 330.

We unfortunately had already booked a second shuttle with them from Manuel Antonio to the airport. That… Would not recommend! Long story short: they sent driver to the wrong city, blamed us, tried to charge us for a new shuttle, wasted an entire day dealing with their bs. Was 45 minutes late when they finally sent the second shuttle 6 hours after our original shuttle was supposed to arrive. Long story long: I emailed them to confirm our pickup in La Fortuna. First, I’ll say that I tried to contact them direct and they didn’t respond to my request for information. My first hotel in Nosara would only offer $250 private transport to Arenal area. I found online the samara to arenal route. My hotel in arenal, Arenal Observatory Lodge (AOL) was very helpful in booking both legs gas chamber of my trip, so if you don’t speak spanish well you might want to research their offerings then have your hotel help book for you. $56 for each leg (the 2nd was arenal to liberia). Note they were willing to drop off and pick up at the AOL which is out of the way–30 electricity load profile min outside of la fortuna. that was a big plus in my book. times are somewhat limited. one one leg the bus was packed, on the other only me and another couple. I would recommend this. As noted, many of the drivers don’t speak a lot of english–you are in CR, english isn’t the local language, the transport is much less than private with an english speakig driver. More likely than not someone on the bus can translate for you.
