Planned and paid for ‘trip of a lifetime’ with 3 other couples a year in advance of trip. Sailed for 10 days on a boat that had several electricity kwh to unit converter issues along the way and was in disrepair…had to have service calls three times….which require you stay put in a mooring sight all day to wait for the repair person… most inconvenient and gross was leaking and clogged toilet from day one in one of the bedrooms…repair person tried to blame us but it was clogged with some sort of cleaning wipe we didn’t even have on board. Lost ALOT of food due to spoilage from a freezer that wouldn’t stay frozen and was leaking down into fridge causing us to eat out at restaurants more than anticipated….lost steaks, pots loin, sausages, vegetables, etc…..gaskets that were gas efficient cars 2016 to seal the drawers of he fridge/freezer would come off…repair person sent out claimed he didn’t have tools to fix it….had issues with the jib with lines that wouldn’t pull even with two Men trying it together ; boat had screws sticking out near ladders that were rusty and electricity units of measurement could easily cause harm and s definite tetanus shot of jabbed,, basically slot of disrepair/poorly maintained boat that cost a small fortune to rent..

This was our third experience with the Moorings – but our first in Road Town. The vessels, the locations, and the service continue to be a great vacation. NB – we always schedule in the off season which places less pressure on ourselves and the company. The initial reception started with the Moorings u gas station near me driver at the ferry station in Road Town. Although we did not book their transportation to increase our flexibility for arrival, the driver insisted we take his jitney despite having not pre-booked. The electricity storage association cost was 1/4 of the typical cab fare. We stayed one night at the Mariner Inn – a great room that was clean and cool upon arrival. The food and beverage service were very, very good – and the prices are typical of the island. The vessel was fully prepared, fueled, cooled and prepped for travel. When ever I attempted to deep dive on how to fix potential problems on board without assistance, Andre remarked simply -don’t. You are on vacation. Call us and we send a technician. During gas vs electric water heater cost per year two weeks sailing, nothing malfunctioned, the rented telephone and wifi permitted making food and scuba reservations, and needless to say, the generator purred along when used to charge the batteries, while the Yanmar engines sipped diesel fuel. We returned to base and docked without needing assistance, and the checkout was prompt and thorough. Great job by the entire staff – our sincere thanks and compliments.
